FIND YOUR PURPOSE FAST

FOR THOSE THAT WANT THE QUICKEST WAY TO DISCOVER THEIR GOD-GIVEN CALLING

One of the hardest things to do is to be able to recognise your own God-given potential and know what to do with it

Without outside help, years can slip by, with you staying in the same place

  • A critical component of discovering what God has called you to do is looking at how God has wired you for your calling.

  • Many people are not self-aware because they've never been shown how to, and this makes it harder to know what God has given you.

  • But even with that knowledge, it's still not easy to look at yourself and be real with who God has created you to be.

  • The majority of people we've worked with lack confidence, which means they vastly underestimate who they are. 

  • Thoughts such as "I'm not gifted", "I'm not a minister", and "I'm not good at anything" plague people for years.

  • This causes them to sit on amazing God-given gifts and abilities whilst they compare themselves to others, and look elsewhere for what they're called to do. But they can never seem to find what they're looking for.

  • It usually takes someone who has a gift of leadership to be able to help them recognise and develop their potential.

What happened with me

  • It initially took 12-18 months to find my calling from God but I had missed one major part of it which took years to find.

  • I didn't realise that I didn’t know my own gifts and abilities to the extent I thought I did, or how to deploy them more effectively outside of the church world.

  • I was happy with my progress helping believers finding their God-given destiny, but majorly frustrated when I went to work during the week.

  • I was successful to a certain degree but there was always “something missing” and I just couldn't seem to work out what it was. 

  • This was leaving me periods of boredom at work and I couldn't work out why my passion was missing each day.

  • I reached out for help to a lot of people but they weren’t weren’t wired in this area so they didn't know what to advise.

  • Others were just trying to recruit me for their own venture.

  • It was only after years of frustration that I sat down with a business coach, and they were able to recognise very quickly that I was lacking confidence in myself which was causing me not to value my God-given gifts and abilities to the extent I should have.

  • This resulted in me holding back from fully engaging in my calling, which was impacting results at work. 

  • Once I had dealt with that issue, I was able to move more fully into what God was calling me to do, with greater confidence, engagement, fulfilment, and effectiveness.

  • I'm now one of the "go-to" people at work for my area of expertise.

7 Minutes to Prayer, 7 Minutes to Discovery

Whilst giving a lift to some students to go to our prayer group, I asked one person what their purpose was and as usual they didn’t have a clue. By the leading of the Holy Spirit they were able to find out what their calling was by the time we got to the prayer group 7 minutes later. Today they advance God’s purposes through their own charity helping young adults alleviate their mental health issues.

Purpose over a Pizza

A friend invited me out for pizza to help them find God's purpose for their life and after 30 minutes of listening to a story that seemed to go nowhere, I was desperate for the Holy Spirit to help me. As soon as I prayed, the conversation immediately switched and this dry and boring dialogue moved into something that oozed passion, potential and purpose. They found that they were called to engineering, as well as helping young men to become all God has destined them to be. The great part was that my friend found his purpose in a couple of hours, and I got a free pizza!
